Moving forward with hope.
Around early August, Allene was given a cancer diagnosis after a routine screening came back with areas of concern. It appears to still be in the early stages and is considered treatable. Doctors will determine an official stage after the major surgery.
Surgery is anticipated around late September, followed by a 6–8 week recovery period and a few nights in the hospital. Once surgery is complete, the doctors will advise on the treatment plan best suited for her specific case. MRIs have shown clear lymph nodes so far.
